Taleo Unveils Assessment Solution with Version 6.1 at 2004 SHRM Conference & Expo

Taleo expands its Enterprise Staffing Management Suite to include new solution, Taleo Assessment™, the industry’s only native, flexible assessment solution with Version 6.1

Francisco, CA and New Orleans, LA – June 28, 2004 – Taleo Corporation, the leading provider of staffing management services and solutions, today introduced at the Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) 56th Annual Conference & Expo, Taleo Assessment™, a new solution that effectively develops, deploys and integrates assessments across an organization. The Taleo Assessment solution, built on the Taleo Enterprise Staffing Management Suite™, provides organizations with the platform, services, content and tools to manage the right assessment strategy across the entire organization. Additionally, Taleo Assessment integrates validated assessment content from third-parties, including customer proprietary assessments, as well as Taleo Industrial Psychologist developed validated assessments.

Taleo Assessment Solution
Taleo’s Assessment solution is highly configurable and native to Taleo’s Enterprise Staffing Management Suite and can be applied to all hire types and across multiple business units. Key components of the Taleo Assessment Solution include the following:

  • Taleo ACE Assessment WebTop includes the only user interface designed specifically for I/O Psychologists, allowing these content experts to build questions and scoring, and view results securely within the Taleo Assessment solution on an integrated assessment management platform.

  • Taleo Assessment Workflow incorporates assessments into every part of the staffing process, from the application to the selection to the interview and analysis. Assessment Workflow can also be configured to determine which candidates take the assessment tests.

  • Taleo Content and Services are designed specifically for retail and hourly hiring and include services such as validation studies, competency models and interview guides. Taleo’s ACE Retail Assessments help improve staffing effectiveness specifically in retail organizations, by helping to improve retention, reduce shrinkage, and increase overall quality of hire.

  • Taleo Assessment Engine delivers the assessments and calculates and tracks results by time and by candidate

Other Benefits from Taleo Version 6.1
In addition to the Taleo Assessment solution, key enhancements are available in Taleo Version 6.1, including functionality for interview scheduling from within Taleo solutions. Interviews can be scheduled, tracked and integrated with Microsoft Outlook and any calendar system that interfaces with iCalendar, including Lotus Notes. Taleo Version 6.1 also features enhanced search tools and practices to allow recruiters to apply and target various types of search functionality using features such as ‘conceptual search’ (which leverages pattern technology and a learning engine) and “more like this” searching, complementing Taleo’s advanced skills based screening solutions and further provide users with even more sophisticated methods to find quality candidates faster.

Additionally, Taleo’s Manager WebTop includes expanded features and new functionality, specifically aimed at supporting the recruitment and staffing processes of hiring managers working in decentralized environments, particularly retail or district managers. Also, Version 6.1 includes enhancements for Taleo’s Regulatory and Diversity solution as well as enhanced integration capabilities.

Finally, Version 6.1 includes enhancements to the Taleo Integration™ solution. This offering integrates Taleo’s solutions with leading ERP providers such as Oracle, PeopleSoft and SAP, enabling organizations to leverage their investments as well as benefit from best-of-breed functionality. This solution also integrates staffing services such as background checking, tax credit screening, assessments and more on one common platform. Additionally, the technology supports ease-of-use initiatives.
