San Francisco, CA – December 14, 2004 – Taleo Corporation, the leading provider of enterprise talent management services and solutions, today announced that The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) selected its Enterprise Talent Management Solutions for the recruitment and staffing of its volunteer members. SHRM is the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management, representing more than 190,000 members through 500 affiliated chapters in more than 100 countries.
SHRM selected Taleo to manage the recruitment, selection and staffing processes for its volunteer members to more accurately match interested and qualified members with available volunteer opportunities. With Taleo’s solutions, SHRM will post volunteer openings on its website for members to access, browse, and post a profile for consideration for upcoming opportunities. In turn, SHRM staff can then locate and assign qualified members interested in specific positions, in specific geographies, with certain skills and experiences, through Taleo solutions.
“Since our volunteers are also our members, we want to ensure that they encounter a positive user experience and that we are quickly able to assess and match volunteers to available opportunities throughout our volunteer structure,” said Anne-Margaret Olsson, director of member special programs, SHRM.
Taleo Chairman and CEO Louis Tetu stated, “We are pleased that The Society for Human Resource Management has chosen Taleo as its partner to further evolve the selection, assessment and volunteer process for its member community. To be chosen by the industry’s foremost association for human resource management is a true testament to the strength, flexibility and value that our industry leading solutions bring to organizations. We look forward to working with SHRM to achieve further value throughout the association in the areas of volunteer member participation,” he added.
