ILogos Study Shows Majority of Global 500 Companies Recruit on the Careers Web Site

Leading Global 500 companies understand the power of the Internet as a channel to attract candidates and are expected to adopt more advanced back-end technologies to optimize the human capital management process

San Francisco, CA – April 8, 2002

iLogos Research (www.ilogos.com), the leading research and consulting firm covering online human capital management (HCM) trends and best practice methodologies, announced today the results of its annual Global 500 Web Site Recruiting Survey. Based on the five-year trend, Global 500 companies consider the corporate Web site a vital component for an organization’s overall recruiting effort. The complimentary study may be downloaded at www.ilogos.com/iLogosReport2002/. iLogos Research is a division of Recruitsoft, Inc., the leading provider of staffing management solutions. iLogos has been providing primary data and analysis about the adoption of corporate Web site recruiting since 1997.

“The utilization of the Corporate Careers Web site represents the first wave of innovation and, today, 91 percent of Global 500 companies are using the Corporate Web site for recruiting purposes. Based on our recent analysis of Fortune 500 companies, the next wave of innovation and competitive advantage has already begun,” said Founder and President of iLogos, Yves Lermusiaux. “Today, many companies in North America are already using robust staffing automation software, with sophisticated back-ends that integrate with the Career Web site – the front-end – to manage the staffing supply chain for necessary functions such as pre-screening.”

He added, “Integrated solutions work to streamline the staffing process completely and we expect an acceleration of the use of integrated solutions by the Global 500, reaching the early majority by next year.”

Key Findings of the Global 500
This year’s study shows the gap is narrowing between the North American-based Global 500 companies using Careers Web site recruiting and those in the European and Asia-Pacific regions, with only five percentage points separating the lowest, Asia Pacific, from the highest, North America.
