Recruitsoft Joins HR-XML Consortium

San Francisco, CA – (BUSINESS WIRE) – March 23, 2000 –

Recruitsoft, creator of the world’s most advanced Internet-based Hiring Management System (HMS), announced that it has joined the HR-XML Consortium. This newly-formed non-profit organization is dedicated to the development and promotion of standardized HR-related extensible markup language (XML) vocabularies designed to enable the worldwide exchange of HR data.

"We are very pleased to play a critical role in defining the standards for our industry," explained Martin Ouellet, Founder and Chief Technical Officer of Recruitsoft. "As the number of HRIS, job board and resume database members of the Consortium continues to grow, Recruitsoft customers will benefit from the even greater ease of using our best-of-breed solutions."

According to Recruitsoft Chief Operating Officer Karen MacPherson, "It is important that Recruitsoft play an active role in applying this cross-platform and vendor-neutral standard to the HR community. Joining in the design of the standard method in which structured HR data will be shared will only serve to enhance our leadership position in Hiring Management Systems. The result will be an even more efficient Recruitsoft solution with greater versatility of features, including One Click Posting™, which allows instant job requisition posting on all relevant job boards."

Recruitsoft’s enterprise-wide solution automates and manages virtually every aspect of recruiting, from job-posting, applicant search and skill-based pre-selection, to reaching "passive" job seekers and developing centralized candidate pools. The result is an increased probability of hiring the right candidate, leading to a shorter "time to contribution," the point at which a new employee actually begins contributing to a company, and to higher retention rates.

Recruitsoft’s system is 100% Web-based and requires no additional software, server installation or maintenance. It can be configured easily to each company’s requirements, and billing is on a pay-per-hire basis.
