San Francisco, CA – (BUSINESS WIRE) – August 28, 2000 –
Recruitsoft, the leading Application Service Provider (ASP) for Web-based hiring management systems, today announces Version 3.1 of its ground-breaking application service, Recruiter WebTop™. Recruiter WebTop powers the career Web pages of large corporations and provides a complete business application over the Internet that supports every aspect of the corporate recruiting process, from requisition management, to complete candidate sourcing-including labor exchanges-proprietary skills-based profiling, email alerts about ACE candidates, global collaboration, recruiting workflow and candidate relationship management, to candidate background checking.
Among the enhancements with this release are:
"This version is a major step forward in functionality and ease of use, as it increases navigability as well as information security for corporate recruiters of Global 2000 companies," said Louis Tetu, Recruitsoft CEO, "resulting in even more time savings. This leads to faster time-to-hire and, because recruiters get to spend more time interacting personally with candidates and less time handling administrative functions, the quality of hires increases, which in turn leads to faster time-to-contribution and less opportunity cost for major corporations."
Recruitsoft Founder and CTO Martin Ouellet added, "This release represents a substantial breakthrough in ASP recruiting technology. My WebTop centralizes the recruiter’s daily activities and serves as a gateway to online recruiting services offering recruiters a one-stop work and information center. In addition, our cutting-edge skills database and competency model technology, combined with the enhanced workflow capability, put recruiters in the driver’s seat when it comes to global online recruiting solutions."
Among the new key features in Version 3.1 are the following:
My WebTop™
An easily navigable control center and portal that organizes all of the corporate recruiter’s activities, My WebTop is personalized for each recruiter and appears automatically upon login. My WebTop presents the recruiter with an "at a glance" view of daily tasks, and allows fast access to recruiter-related information such as conferences, meetings and new products, as well as up-to-date statistics and reports. The new Resource Center provides access to valuable informational links about the hiring cycle, recent articles and proprietary Recruitsoft/iLogos research. In addition, the Communications Center offers users direct access to up-to-date support documentation such as release notes and tutorials.
Automated Skill Management
The Recruiter WebTop now provides a comprehensive database of 15,000 technical skills conveniently organized by job function, through which recruiters can search and include in the newly introduced standardized competency models. Recruiter WebTop users can include job-specific skills in their job requisitions, helping to measure accurately useful aptitudes. Users can also build and save competency models for each job type, complementing Recruitsoft’s current proprietary three-level pre-screening technology. Candidates score themselves for each skill according to a predefined ranking scheme, and recruiters rank candidates according to a score combining skills and a prescreening questionnaire. Candidates who have desirable skills and assets are easily identified-and the recruiter is proactively notified about these candidates immediately, via an email ACE alert.
Workflow
Users can now systematically follow the lifecycle of a job requisition as well as the approval process. This intelligent workflow routing has the benefit of streamlining and controlling job requisition development from creation through to posting.
Skills-based Candidate Search Tool
The new 100 percent skills-based candidate search engine matches candidate skills to job requisitions directly, increasing accuracy and eliminating guesswork-a powerful feature that is unique to Recruiter WebTop.
Easy Information Management
Recruiter WebTop’s new organization and data display methods add flexibility and configurability without demanding more input from the recruiter as a user. The new structure displays requisitions more quickly, allows the customization of recruiting reports, helps candidates to more closely target the best-fitting positions through additional information in the Career Section, and ultimately, helps the recruiter to better organize and filter requisition information.
First HMS to Integrate All Areas of Candidate Sourcing
Additionally, Recruitsoft announced on August 23 that it had formed an alliance with Kennedy Information to offer SelectRecruiter.com through Recruiter WebTop, making this application the first Hiring Management System (HMS) to integrate all areas of candidate sourcing. This capability is integrated with the new version.
