Recruitsoft / iLogos Research Introduces Fortune 500 Corporate Internet Recruiting Trend Watch

Trend Watch Reports that 76% of Fortune 500 Post Jobs On Corporate Websites

Recruitsoft / iLogos Research (www.ilogosresearch.com) today announced the launch of its new Trend Watch program, which will periodically report on corporate Internet recruiting trends. In its initial Trend Watch, Recruitsoft / iLogos Research reports that 76 percent of Fortune 500 companies post jobs on their corporate Web sites and 71 percent accept job applications on their corporate websites. Future Trend Watches will further examine this practice by industry and Career Web site best practices.

"It’s interesting to note that while 76 percent of the Fortune 500 post jobs on their career Web sites, less than 10 percent of the Fortune 500 have hiring management systems in place," said Yves Lermusiaux, president of iLogos Research and Recruitsoft VP of Strategy and Content. "Clearly the country’s largest corporations understand the value of utilizing their Web sites as a front-end to recruit in today’s job market. Their next challenge is to handle the flow and volume of applicants to rapidly identify quality candidates."

The following results are published in the first Trend Watch, available online at www.ilogos.com/trendwatch/

Fortune 500 Companies’ Corporate Career Web Site Practice
76% post jobs on their corporate Web site careers section
71% accept job applications on their corporate Web site
